                                      INDUCTION OF BOYS INTO BOYS SPORTS COMPANY

Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre, Ahmednagar has been earmarked for rising of Boys sports Coy. The candidates can be from any sports discipline in general preferably, candidate should be of following disciplines:-
(a)     Archery.
(b)     Shooting
(c)     Swimming.
Keeping this in view, this Centre has planned to hold recruitment rally for Boys Coy from 24 January 2005 onwards. The qualification requirement is as under:-
(a)     The Boys should be minimum class V passed /attending class V.
(b)     Age group of 11 to 14 yrs ( as on 01 Jul 05)
(c)    Should have minimum height 153 cms and 160 cms and weight 35 kgs and 47 kgs for 12 13 and 14 yrs of age respectively. No height and weight criteria are applicable to Boys who are 11 yrs old. Criteria may be relaxed in case of exceptionally talented boys.
(d)     Preference will be given to those candidates who are first three position holders in individual event or member of winner and runner team in National Level tournament, State Championship, School Federation Games Competition and Inter Zonal Competition.
(e)     Selected boys will be given free boarding, Lodging and Education up to Matriculation. After this, depending upon their individual suitability these boys will be enrolled into Army is compulsory after the training in Boys Sports Company is completed.

Automatic entry will be given to all those candidates who are first three position holders in the individual events or are members of winners and runners up team in the Junior / Sub junior National / State Level tournaments.

Interested outstanding sportsmen may report to Headquarters, The Mechanised infantry Regimental Centre (MIRC), Ahmednagar (Maharastra) Near Pune on 24 January 2005 for selection trials which may past for 10 days. They are to bring to following items and documents for trials:-
(a)     Archery equipment (Indian or Imported)/ Air Pistol along with pellets.
(b)     Bedding and personal clothing.
(c)     All documents and certificates.
