 (1)Naharlagun: Eight pedestrians were knocked down and three ladies were injured by a young motor cyclist near  SIB cantonment at Hapoli on April 04 last, reports DIPRO, Ziro.While an elderly lady of about sixty years age was evacuated to GMC Guwahati the injured were admitted at District Hospital Ziro. The police has seized the motor cycle.

 (2) The East Kameng Deputy commissioner,Bidul Tayeng has directed the judicial and excutive magistrates of the district to discharge their duties and responsibilities without fear and favour in order to restore confidience and felling of security in the minds of the people. The order has been issued in view of the incidents of dacoity, extortion, theft and ciminal intimiditation and assult on government servants in the district and Seppa in particular.Taking serious view of the situation  and concerned over the prevailing law and order condition the DC urged all not to interfere in judicial process. In the last two and half months there were eight cases of dacoity, robbery in which property worth of five lakhs has been lost besides two cases of assault on government  officials. Following popular demand from different organizations and public against encroachment and earth cutting being carried out in Sepppa and in the district the DC has issued another order and urged all illegal encroachers to remove their structures or face eviction to be carried out shortly.

(3) The Galo community at Ziro celebrated the Mopin festival at subansiri sadan with great enthusiasm and festivity. MLA, Nani Ribia, former minister Padi Richo and officers participated in the celebration.
