Naharlagun: The Deputy Commissioner Upper Siang , Shri Gamli Padu, had a meeting with the district head of departments, Panchayat leaders and members of Arunachal Pradesh Trade Union Federation in order to conduct Head counting and issue of identity cards to the labourers of all the departments throughout the district, reports DIPRO Yingkiong. In the meeting various committees have been constituted at district and circle level with the concerned administrative officers as the chairman.The meeting asked the HODs to ensure the presence of labourers engaged under their department as per scheduled date and place. The Head counting of labourers in the district including the WC, ALC, Contingency and casual staffs started from Jan 11 last, the report added. Meanwhile, DIPRO Along reports that in response to the cabinet decision of December, 27 last, a meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Shri T. Bam , I/C Deputy Commissioner, West Siang to work out the list of labourers for head counting on January 10 last. All departments were entrusted to workout the list of labourers for head counting on January 20 next. Various communities and sub-communities were constituted at the district, sub-division, and circle level to complete the process and submit the final report for further screening at district head quarters before submission to the government.
