                                       NAMDAPHA CULTURAL FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT MIAO

Naharlagun, Feb 17- The 2nd annual Namdapha cultural festival will be held at Miao in Changlang district on April 3 and 4 next. A meeting to discuss about the celebration was held under the chairmanship of Sri RK Sharma, ADC, Miao on February 15 last which was attended among others by the local MLA Sri K. Mosang and other prominent public leaders and
officers, according to a report from ADC Miao. After threadbare discussion the meeting decided that folk and modern dances of 21 ethnic groups residing in the Sub Division would be displayed in the festival besides traditional games & sports, ethnic fashion show, food festival, exhibition, traditional huts of local tribes, eco run for awareness on environment & ecology, nature camp at Namdapha Project and group discussion on preservation of culture etc will be the highlights of the two day long festival.The organizers have requested the interested persons/ organizers / tour operators and trading houses to sponsors the events and to apply for putting up exhibition stalls to the ADC, Miao Sub Division, Changlang Distt, Arunachal Pradesh.
