Naharlagun, Feb 17- The MP Rajya Sabha, Shri Nabum Rebia laid the
foundation stone for the construction of road from Pitapol to Chulyu
under Lower Subansiri district at Chulyu village on February 15 last.
Chulyu village is known for its discipline life of the people and also a
progressive area in agriculture and horticulture farming. The
horticulture produces from the village are marketed at Ziro and the near
by places. The village has also produced numbers of luminaries, who are
holding responsible Jobs in central and state Government services.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rebia said that Chulyu should be a model
village for the entire state and appealed all to maintain and uphold the
same spirit for generations to come.
In his reply to the three points demands of the people like inter-village CC footpath, play ground and common toilet for school, he said
that road communication would be given top priority and asked for
estimate for construction of play ground from the District Sports
Officer while assuring to bear the matching share from his MP LAD fund.
Shri Rebia further called upon the people to avail centrally sponsored
schemes and urged upon the PR leaders and government agencies to create
awareness among the people on such schemes.
Dr. Byabang Rana, Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister, conveyed the good wishes of the Chief Minister to the people of Chulyu village.He also emphasized on horticultural activities, which is the source of
economic upliftment of people adding that the climatic and soil condition of the area and the state is suited for horticulture. He also
appealed to all sections of people to work unitedly for the development
of the village.
Likha Maj, APCC general Secretary, highlighted the developmental steps
initiated by him. He further announced to sanction Rs fifty thousand for
construction of play ground and Rs one lakh for construction of common
toilet for school. He appealed all to concentrate on developmental
activities in close cooperation and coordination with the Government
agencies.
Earlier, Taba Henda ASM, submitted a memorandum to the MP. Some of the
prominent leaders of the area also spoke on the occasion, reports DIPRO
