Naharlagun- The state government has decided to make it mandatory on the part of all state government employees including the autonomous and semi- autonomous government bodies, Central government employees to attend the 56th Republic Day Celebration at Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar on January26, 2005. A circular of the State Chief Secretary said that as this important national day has special significance for all of us, it is necessary for all people to participate in the celebration.

The Secretary (Transport) is making special arrangement for providing transportation from convenient locations in the capital complex for the convenience of the public. All the Secretaries and the Heads of Department are directed to brief their officials in this regard and ensure their attendance on this National Day. It has also been decided to take sterns action against those who fail to attend the function.
