Along, April 7- The Minister Health and Family Welfare and Civil Supply, Shri C.C.Singpho on April 6 last inaugurated a seven-roomed blood bank
was at District Hospital, Along. Reports DIPRO. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Shri Singpho, said that many
such infrastructures can come up under National Rural Health Mission and adequate attention will be given to all proposals and schemes that
benefit the health needs of larger section of the society, he said. He also stressed on the need to make best uses of infrastructures available
with the health department. The Health minister further asked the doctors and nurses to work hard and
render medical services to the needy people in the interior areas without confining themselves to headquarters only.
The local MLA, Shri Kito Sora stressed on giving special priority to health care by earmarking more fund in this sector to meet up the growing
needs. Welcoming the gathering DMO Along, Dr. Emi Rumi, said that the blood bank
will cater the needs of critical patients who are referred outside for treatment. He also highlighted other problems like shortage of doctors at
district hospital Along.
