Naharlagun, June 14:-    In order to discuss and adopt plans to improve services and  infrastructural limitations of Tezu District Hospital a
co-ordination meeting was held on Monday last where besides District Officers, members of various NGOs and representatives of Army and
Paramilitary organizations, local MLA Karikho Kri and Deputy Commissioner Lohit  P.S. Lokhande  participated reports DIPRO, Tezu.

                             Proposing for formation of a Hospital Management Committee for Tezu District Hospital for overall improvement of health
services, Dr. P.K. Saikia apprised the members about various shortcoming of the 88- bedded hospital. He called upon public as well as government agencies to render all possible assistance in this regard. Citing the innovative idea of charging user fee in Pasighat and Itanagar government hospitals for augmenting financial needs and better amenities to patients, Dr. Saikia also solicited suggestions from all in this
regard.

                                Deputy Commissioner P.S. Lokhande, said the proposed Committee, which will be registered, shall monitor, suggest ways, and raise resources for procurement of equipments and drugs for overall welfare of patients. He also suggested that user fee must not be a burden on poor patients and called upon well-wishers to donate voluntarily for the cause. The DC further appreciated co-operation of Army and Paramilitary Organisations and stressed the need to maintain the spirit of mutual co-operation for public welfare.

                             Shri Karikho Kri, MLA, appreciated the endevour of District Administration and asked for pooling of all available resources for improving conditions of district health Centres.

                             On the occasion medical representatives from 9th Battalion ITBP, 82 Mountain Brigade, and Gaon buras and Public leaders also participated and suggested ways to realise the noble objective.
