Jairampur, June 15, 2005: With an move to build up close co-ordination with the local populace, the 25 sector Commander, Brigadier M R Pattar handed over one Basket Ball Court constructed by the 7 Assam Rifles under BADP within the Govt. secondary school playground to the head master here in a small function on June 13 last. 

In his inaugural speech Shri Pattar urged the head master to maintain the court properly and arrange suitable boys to be trained for the basketball play. He further assured to provide one instructor for two months for the training. While the brigadier emphasized the need of developing study culture, he promised to provide different types of educational books worth Rupees one lakh for the school library.

The local administrative officer Shri M Roy, EAC, Jairampur while appreciating the 7 Assam Rifles for their endeavour, also requested Assam Rifles authority to include other social welfare activities in their future plan so that the people of Jairampur be benefited at large.

Govt. officers, officials, public leaders and school children attended the function.
