Ziro October 19 -The Director, CBI, US Mishra and Addl. Director, ML Sharma from New Delhi visited Reru Village in Lower Subansiri district during his tour to Ziro on October 16th last. They were accorded traditional reception by the Gaon Burahs and the people of the village, reports DIPRO.

At Ziro, the dignitaries visited the district museum, emporium and enjoyed the cultural programme organized in their honour. While appreciating the Apatanis for their unique activities ie the paddy cum fish culture, which is the main source of income, Mishra, compared
Arunachal with Orissa where half of the population is tribal. He stated that the tribal people of Arunachal, in particular the Apatanis have
better living standard, adding that being the best foresters, they have been maintaining a self-reliant economy, the report added.
