Itanagar April 23 : The Chief Secretary Ashok Kumar held a meeting with Commissioner & Secretary Civil Aviation, Anshu Prakash, and J.P. Rai, Secretary Civil Supplies to day to review the situation of food grains and its preparedness to meet any eventualities in view of onset of monsoon.

The Chief Secretary directed the Secretaries to keep sufficient food grains for at least a period of six month in stock and directed Civil aviation department to keep the helicopter sorties ready to supply the food grain to all the air fed areas in the state especially in Kurung Kumey and other interior districts so that the people of all the far flung areas do not suffer for want of food grains. Shri Kumar also directed police authority to provide necessary Police protection in Tali and Parsi Palo area.
The Chief Secretary also informed that there is no shortage of food grains in the state and therefore, the people at the time of distress should not suffer and the full proof preparedness should be made to reach the people in time of their need, reports DIPR.
