Along March 29- Minister Civil Supplies, Health and Family Welfare, Shri C.C Singpho, and Chief Engineer, PHED ,Geyum Padu, will grace the Mopin festival at Along , which begins from April 4 next ,as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Reports DIPRO. The Central Mopin Celebration Committee Along, which is managing the event , is all set to make the four -day Mopin Festival a grand success. Preparations are being made to showcase the rich culture, traditions and beliefs of the Galo tribe. The celebration will be a cultural extravaganza featuring - drama, dances, Yan-Kaben etc, blended with touch of tradition and modernity and the special highlight will be the "Miss Mopin" West Sing contest. Also a book containing tribal proverbs, anecdotes, humour, authored by  Shri Mijum Lona will be released on the occasion. The Event management Committee is headed by CMCC President, Shri Henkir Lollen and Er. Kemml Kamsi, as its Secretary, the report added.
