Bomdila December 28: The International Tourism Award 2006 will be presented to eighty wineers from around the world in a gala function
being organized in Madrid on 25th January 2006. Tsering Wange, tourism entrepreneur from Arunachal Pradesh and MD Himalayan Holidays will be one of the proud recipients of this international award representing India. The other award winners from India are The Taj Mahal Hotel, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), Orchard Palace and Hotel Airport Kohinoor Pvt Ltd.Reports DIPRO.
Arsenio Rodriguez, Chairman of the Selection Committee of "31st International Award for Tourism & Hospitability Industry" conveyed this
in a written communication recently about the nomination and selection of Himalayan Holidays for this prestigious international award for the
year 2006. Himalayan Holidays, one of the pioneers in travel and tourism in North East India has been selected for its continued promotion and development of tourism in local, national and international forums for over a decade. This international award is a great honor, which
recognizes the contributions and achievements made in the field of travel, tourism and hospitability. It is the most comprehensive, the
biggest and the most prestigious awards programme in the global travel industry.

Mr Wange who recently returned from London after attending World Travel Market(WTM 2005) has been invited to Madrid to receive the award along with one of its director with an offer of 50% airfare discount and free hospitability for two nights. Mr Wange said that he would be happy to visit Madrid, the HQ of World Travel & Tourism Organization which has been the host city of International Tourism Award function continuously for the past thirty one years.

During the two day award ceremonies, he would have an opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the worlds biggest name in travel, tourism and hospitability sector and get inspiration from them to work even harder in future for the progress of the State and the country.
