                                                                      PRESS RELEASE

1. ALONG : - In a devastating fire that broke out on he fateful night of sept’23 at 2330 hrs at yosing village, fourteen houses were totally gutted and huge properties are reported to be lost in the fire accident. “Trails of devastation are quite visible in the heaps of debris accumulated in the accident site “ says Tayok Goi , BJP leader from Rumgong who alongwith Smty Yadar Taching ASM Chairperson and Shri Taja Tatin ASM Lorging visited the site to take stock of overall situation there and distributed relied items in cash and kind. The relief materials in cash and kind were managed by shri Tamiyo Taga Minister education. Meanwhile the district administration has released an amount of Rs. 45000/- as immediate relief for the victims.

Yosing is one of the most interior villages under Rumgong subdivision and takes foot march of ten hours from the subdivision. Many ancestral properties and live-stocks they reared are said to have been lost in the mishap. The people of the area expressed their thanks to EX. ASM Jomoh, Er. Modak Ngomdir, Er. Doba Jini and Er. John Dangkam for their help and contributory gesture to the fire victims.


2. PASIGHAT:- N. Ering Dy. Speaker attended the inaugural function of Govt. Town Middle School upgraded under S.S. on Oct’8. He was accompanied by T. Jerang i/c Deputy Commissioner East Siang District (:)

Speaking on the occasion Shri Ering said that due to increase in the student population there has been a lot of pressure for educational services and infrastructures (:) Many schools have to be upgraded and along with them necessary infrastructures have to be provided for better & quality education (:) He assured to take up with the concerned department for necessary funds (:) The teachers and student community should co-operate & unitedly face the challenges (:) The students should be dedicated and disciplined to excel in life and to equip themselves to face the challenges adding that they have to create a better society (: )The Dy. Speaker donated Rs. Five thousand to the School community and assured to provided Rs. One lac. from MLALD fund for construction of toilets (:)


3. PASIGHAT:- N. Ering Dy. Speaker attended a Seminar on “Rural Employment generation Programme” of Khadi and Village Industry Commission (KVIC) organized by District Industry Centre Pasighat. Oct’8 at Pasighat attended by the representatives from Banks, ZPMs, Anchal Chairperson, ASMs, and a large number of enthusiastic persons.
The Deputy Speaker was very happy to note the enthusiastic response and urged select and encourage deserving and sincere beneficiaries, so that the projects become successful Shri Ering expressed concerned over non repayment of loan in many cases and asked for to work out a system to avoid such occurrence in future. He appealed to the financial institutions to relax the procedures so that poor masses does not face problem. The elected PR members should select genuine persons so that we can economically compete with others. There are many good govt. schemes which we have to exploit and requested all to disseminate the information to the rural masses.
Shri T. Jerang incharge Deputy Commissioner East Siang who chaired the function said that we have to learn from our early mistakes and make use of the benefits to raise our economy.
Mrs J. Jamoh ZPM requested Panchayat leaders to select beneficiary and relax interest rate, procedures and extend marketing facilities. 
Representative from various banks informed that they are eager to lend money for good ventures but many schemes have failed & repayment is very discouraging. The Banks they requested the genuines and right persons to come forward so that the economy of the society can be improved. While representatives from Rural Development informed about various poverty alleviation scheme.
Earlier S. Tabin DDI while welcoming all informed about the employment generation programmes of the KVIC and said that the elected leaders of PR. are the right persons to disseminate the information to the rural masses.


4. ZIRO:- J.T. Takam, minister Fisheries, Labour and Employment exhorted that constructive politics is needed for healthy development in real democratic spirit. He said, in inaugural function of upradation of Tamen L.P. School to Middle School, under Sarva Sikhsa Abhiyan (SSA) on Oct 8 last. The school was established way back in year 1960.
Shri8 Takam said Lower Subansiri district is fortunate to have an aerodrome at Ziro and number of important project like NEEPCO, Tago and Mai hydro electricity project. The Satellite town at Yacholi and proposed and Proposed Legislative Assembly House are important development of the district..
While replying to the memorandum, demanding like school infrastructure and flood control from Pine to Kamla 500 metres in length, Takam, assured people to look in to their demand.
Addressing on the occasion Talo Mugli, MLA Raga, emphasized on better co-ordination and co-operation amongst panchayat leaders, government and MLAs to deal with transfer of official. He cautioned the leaders to be honest and sincere while implementing the welfare schemes.
The ZPM Raga, Maga Apa appealed teacher to impart quality education with sincerity and devotion and asked the students to be obedient and regard their teachers. Among others Tap Tapak, ZPM Kamporijo, Block II and Nido Temik ZPM Tamen-Dollungmukh also spoke on the occasion.


5. Tezu:- The state governor V.C. Pande paid a 3 day visit to Lohit District from Oct’1 to 3. The Governor was accompanied by state Finance minister Kalikho Pul. On their arrival at Tezu the Governor was accorded warm reception at Circuit House. During his stay at Tezu Shri Pande visited Tibetan Refugee Camp and graced the Durga Puja celebration. The Governor was also visited BARAKUNDAN near Kibithoo the last administrative out-post and Walong. At Walong, Shri Pande paid homage to heroes and martyrs of 1962 war at the war memorial.
