Shri N. Ering,MOS (PHE & W/S) along with HODS of the District visited the flood ravaged villages of Bosing & Bogong Anchal Blocks on 16.07.2003 (.) Portions of roads on Pasighat-Ledum-Tene Road has been washed away (.) Also culvert and Bridges have been destroyed (.) A large portion of Pasighat-Pangin road has also been washed away and in many places there has been landslides (.) He instructed the concerned Departments to work on war footing to restore the communication (.)

The ZPMs/ASMs/Public leaders who accompanied the Minister informed that huge areas of cultivation land has been washed away and also large area has been rendered uncultivable by salutation (.) Agri and Horti Departments has been instructed to carry out the survey with right earnest (.) He also said that he will take up with the Govt. for providing fund for protection works at the most vulnerable areas for immediate protection of cultivation areas. There has been lots of damaged in the drinking water supply system in the area (.) The concerned Deptt. is working hard to restore the system immediately (.) He informed that in future the maintenance and management of the drinking water supply will be handed over to the Panchayat (.) The Minister emphasized on the importance of preservation and conservation of ecological balance to check further erosion and land damage (.) Waste land development schemes should be implemented (.) Also Horticulture and social Forestry has to be given more importance. People should realize the importance of long term planning and work sincerely so that the assets creates have a lasting effects avoid re-occurrence of the problems caused by flood (.) As a precautionary measure, medicines and technicians have been deployed in the area to check break out of epidemics (.) The bridge over sibokorong which is the lifeline of Balek Group of villages is also under threat (.)

The Minister assured to take up with concerned Deptt. for protection works (.)
