VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
The Department of Education conducted training for volunteer instructors (VIs) under Total Literacy Campaign (TLC) at Warjung,13 km from Bomdila from 13th to 16th July. Fourteen VIs from
Warjung, Darbu, Rahung, Tinghai and Dangechingpam villages attended the training. Mr. P.N.Medhi, APO, Bomdila, who is the Sector Officer of the area, imparted the training along with Master Trainer, Mr. U.Verma. Topics like motivation, environment building, formation of center to the trainees, how to impart communication skill and on means to approach adult learners are
explained to the volunteer instructors. With the help of projectors and other training equipment the trainees were abreast with latest technology and means to eradicate the stigma of our
society.
Mr. R.K.Gupta, DDSE, Bomdila and Mr. N.B.C.Chhaije, DAEO, who were on a school inspection to Warjung, Darbu and Dangechinpam participated in the training. The educationists informed that
the trainees are taking vast interest in the programme and gave full cooperation to the conductors. They also assured that they would fulfill their duties with devotion. There have been lots of interactions between the trainees and resource persons during the training in the entire programme under TLC till date. They added that TLC is an eighteen month programme where illiterates personsof the age group of 15 to 35 years is targeted. The trainees who will be trained in this training will go back to their circles and train the village level volunteers.
