COMPUTER TRAINING CONCLUDES
A two-week computer based training programme on ‘Office Automation Course’, which was conducted at Bomdila for the officers and staff of West Kameng district administration concluded today on 18th July 2003. Mr. H.Rajesh Prasad, Deputy Commissioner, Bomdila, who was the chief guest on the valedictory function, gave away certificates to the trainees.
In his address to the trainees, Mr. Prasad informed that West Kameng district has been selected for E governance project and the North East Council (NEC) has already sanctioned fund for it. Once implemented, the offices will be computerized. He hope that this training with help in the implementation of the programme. The Deputy Commissioner said that he had initiated three computer trainings in the past for office staffs under various programme such as IGNOU and hope that some more such trainings will be conducted in the future. Mr. Prasad requested the trainees to keep in touch with computers in the future also. He also thanked the ATI, Naharlagun for conducting the Office Automation Computer training at Bomdila and National Informatics Centre, Bomdila for all the helps render by them.
Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Mr. T.Pada, EAC, Bomdila thanked Mr. Pema Tshetan, Director Training, administrative Training Institute, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun for giving the trainees an opportunity to undergo the programme. He also thanked the Deputy Commissioner for his initiatives in bring the training programme to the district headquarters and also to the resource persons of NIC, Bomdila. He added that because of the training a passion for computer has developed among the trainees. Highlighting the immerse value of the training, he requested the Deputy Commissioner to initiate more programme on computer and computers for the offices in the district.
Mr. Pema Tshetan, Director Training, administrative Training Institute, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun inaugurated the training course on 7th July 2003. Seven officers and twenty-three officials from the district administration and from different departments attending the computer course. The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun conducted the training with the help of district administration and officers of National Informatics Centres (NIC), Bomdila, which is been sponsored by the department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India, New Delhi. This is for the first time that the Institution got sponsorship to conduct such training in the district headquarters. It is second training after a programme at Tawang. Two more are going to be conducted, i.e. Seppa and Yupia. The training at Bomdila was conducted under the course director, Mrs.Y.W.Ringu, ADC, Bomdila and the resource persons were Mr. Deepak Kumar Gohain, District Informatics Officer, Bomdila and Mr. N. Damodar Singh, DIA, Bomdila. Basic computer subjects like Microsoft word, Microsoft excels, Microsoft power point, Animation, Internet, Microsoft Access and Networking were taught in the ten days course. The practical trainings were conducted in the NIC office.
