PRESS RELEASE
1. PASIGHAT:- Shri T. Darang, Deputy Commissioner, East Siang has urged the student cadets to dedicate and exert maximum effort to develop themselves into an organized and disciplined force. Shri Darang was addressing the Valedictory function of combined NCC camp at J.N. College, Pasighat on June, 23 last.
Speaking on the occasion Shri T. Darang said NCC is one of the largest youth organizations which impart quality character building, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook,
spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens. The Deputy Commissioner had complimented the students of Arunachal who
actively participated and have been adjusted as the best cadets and have brought laurels to the State. The NCC with it motto to develop quality character, courage, comradeship will create a
human resource of organized trained and activated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life. The cadets have done well as per their eligibility in various test for their certificate
examination. Shri Darang donated Rs. 5,000/-.
A colourful cultural programme of patriotic songs and dances and depicting various culture of the state was presented on the occasion.
2. PASIGHAT:- As many as five nos. of project were prioritized and recommended to the State level steering Committee for inclusion during the 10th five year plan in a District Watershed Development Committee meeting held on June, 24 last. The meeting also selected District nodal agency and project implementing Agency.
Addressing the meeting Deputy Commissioner, East Siang, T. Darang urged all the Heads of Department of line department to work sincerely for successful implementation of the projects and
stressed on creating public awareness among the people.
