Forty-one schemes amount to Rupees One Crore have been approved under District Plan 2002
2003 for West Kameng district. Eleven schemes amounting to Rs. 10.9 lakhs are under
Education sector and six schemes of Rs. 19 lakhs under health department. Out of the total
nos. schemes, nine each are in Kalaktang and Bomdila circles, six in Thrizino and five in
Dirang. Four schemes each in Rupa and Nafra circles, two in Singchung and one each in
Bhalukong and Jameri are going to be implemented in the year 2002-2003. No scheme has been
taken up in Balemu circle under the District Plan in the year 2002-2003. Going into the
details of the departmental entrustment of the schemes, Mr. Pallab Dey, District Planning
Officer, Bomdila informed that the District Rural Development Agency, Bomdila is entrust
with eleven schemes amount to Rs. 20.6 lakhs. The District Urban Development Agency is
given eight schemes amount to Rs. 34 lakhs. The Rural Development Works department is
entrusted with eight schemes amounting to Rs. 18.5 lakhs and seven nos. of work is given
to the Public Works department amounting to Rs.17.9 lakhs. The Public Health Engineering
department is given six schemes amounting to Rs. 6.00 (Six) lakhs and the District Medical
Office with one job amounting to sum of Rs. 3.00 (Three) lakhs. It may be mentioned here,
that in the last District Plan Board meeting, the Deputy Commissioner who is the chairman
of the board has directed the executing agencies to submit technical sanctions and two
photographs of all the schemes completed. In the year 2001-2002, forty-six schemes were
taken up. An amount of Rs.1,28,13,018.00 was utilized out of the total allocation of
Rs.1,29,95,000.00 including additional fund allocation of Rs.29,95,000.00 against four
schemes specially sanctioned by the government.
